Editorial notes

The Winstedt text is based on the manuscript in the possession of the Sultan of Perak ("Naskah A"), but is not a diplomatic edition.  Winstedt also drew on two other incomplete manuscripts.  
Winstedt's edition was republished in full by Pustaka Antara in 1962, and its text was republished (in modern spelling) in 1991 by Pustaka Anatra.  The editors have normalised the text to some degree.  In 1992 a further edition was published by Ahmad Fauzi Mohd. Basri and provided with a new introduction.
Lists of page references linking the Pustaka Antara 1962 edition with both the 1991 and 1992 editions are provided.

The Pustaka Antara 1962 text was keyed in for the MCP in Canberra, and its spelling modernised.  It has not been systematically checked against Ahmad Fauzi’s edition.
