Raja Bikrama Sakti is the king whose daughter, Puteri Rakna Kemala, is the protagonist of this popular story.   She is exceedingly clever, and by quick wits and trickery, succeeds in restoring her family's fortune.  Thus the story expresses a theme popular in syair of this period, for instance Syair Puteri Akil, Syair Siti Zubaidah, Syair Siti Zawiah, and so forth.
